The fight for an ATM for Killamarsh by Killamarsh Parish Council has achieved results!
Free cash machine back in Killamarsh
The Killamarsh Parish Clerk recently informed all members of the Parish Council of the following great news.
“A few months ago the Parish Council contacted Link through the Access to Cash scheme and asked them to look into the lack of a free ATM in the village.
“Link have completed their investigation and have concluded that there is a need for an ATM, and have identified Bridge Street as being the ideal location.
“They haven’t indicated exactly where the machine will be located or exactly when we will receive the machine but it should be within about three months from the outcome of the review.
We are recommending the permanent provision of the following cash access services in the local area that we are assessing for people living in the area and, as appropriate, for local businesses.
A Withdrawal ATM:
A cash withdrawal service for personal current accounts that is provided free of charge.
A cash withdrawal service for businesses.
The above service must:
Allow for a reasonable mix of notes to be withdrawn.
The cash access services we have recommended will be:
Free of charge if you have a personal current account.
Offered by firms that work with us on coordinating cash access.
Funded by LINK on behalf of its members.
We expect these services to be ready within three months of us sharing this assessment, unless someone asks for a review, in which case it will be within three months of sharing the outcome of that review.
In any event, the services should be ready before the old facility closes, if it has not already closed.
